It was a snow day this past Friday. I think my students knew more than I did; several asked me on Thursday what time it was supposed to snow on Friday. Hmmmm. I couldn't answer that question, nor did I really, truly think we would have snow. But we did. And the official notice came in plenty of time for us to get ready to enjoy a four-day weekend.
We played in the snow on Friday and went for a walk, marveling out how so many snowflakes would join together in bunches as they fell from the sky. We would eye one cluster high above us, then stick out our tongues and try to catch them... giggling when they would land on our noses or splat in an eye instead.
I'm sure that if anyone peeked out of their windows as we walked by, they would have thought we looked a bit like Maggie chasing after snowflakes.
I'd like to order another snow day and four-day weekend.... Perhaps two weeks from now?

Roban-- First time to you blog and Oh my am I in for a treat!!
I am going to post-- saying how great I think your cute mosaic is AND go back and read more.
Looks like you might be one of my daily stop! I am so excited!
What an excitement! We don't get that experience here in SoCal. We have to drive up to the mountains!
Don't you wish you could just order up 4 day weekends like that all the time?
Great photos! They made a wonderful wintery mosaic.
Nice wintry mosaic.
What a great new header, just wonderful!
Great mosaic. We just had snow too and glad it is melting, but now a threat of more in the morning. Ugh!
I love your mosaic. That must have been lots of fun. The snow missed us, unfortunately, but Caitlin already had Friday off for a teacher workday in her district. I of course had been off since Thursday. The first thing tomorrow should bring temperatures in the 20s. I think I shall stay home.
Great mosaic! We are getting tons of snow tonight.
No snow here in Sydney so it was a treat to read this post how you frolicked in the snow. :)
I am extra busy at the moment and won't be stopping by again until March. Take care until then.
Hugs

Beautiful! Perfect choice for the bigger picture!
Wonderful post! Snow brings out the fun and beauty, doesn't it?!!!!!
Great narrative with the mosaic. I really like your "About Me." Good for you for teaching!
Fun!
This veteran teacher found your blog to be a real treat!
Aw, what a sweet post! Thanks so much for sharing, Roban! :)
I agree...snow days would be more fun if we could have them when we really needed them....
beautiful...beautiful images, Hannah is so grown up!
beautiful that you had time to relax and play...
in here it has become more of a nightmare for the general population (which I dont include myself as I rarely go out these days) because the givernment officials (read the mayor of London who is a blonde babuine to me!) does not organize for the population to be out...
there were lots of injured people and many deaths in the country, so what was for us a novelty at first has become a problem...still, I love the image that snow brings...and also the fact that Sarita still prefers to stay in with mum :)
Hope you fo get another 4 days weekend!
Huggzzz
Great pictures & wonderful header!
Reminder: my give-away ends on Friday
Have I told you before how beautiful your daughter is?
