She's a "Can-Do" Girl
The other night, while other mothers and daughters were in the kitchen baking cookies and other Christmas treats, Hannah and I were pulling out paints and art supplies for a different kind of creation. Her painting was an "H" made of leopard print while I created the "Can-Do" Girl. I didn't have a destination in mind as I began my work, and by 5 a.m., when Craig (bleary-eyed and yawning) walked into the kitchen the papers and brushes and paints and stamps were proof positive that she was a work in progress. I think she'll be my inspiration this year.... the push I need to get past "can't." That's why I'm calling her the "Can-Do" Girl. Because really, we can do anything we set our mind to. I'm saying farewell to can't. Want to join me?

I will certainly join you Roban!
We feel so overwhelmed sometimes by this fast paced world we live in. We need to change the rules and listen to our can-do girl.
I have already chosen my new word of the year for 2012..Persistence! I am looking forward to being energized and giving up on limited thinking.
Beautiful post my friend.

2012 is definitely going to be my can do year. We should make a blinkie badge using your little character and people who want to make it there mantra can use it as a badge on their blog. Happy new year and to a wonderful can do year!
Peggy, persistence is a great word for the year. Mine will be "choice." I tend to let time slide by under the pretense (real or imagined) that "I'm tired and need my rest." My hope is that I'll think about the choice I'm making and decide right then and there if that's the best choice for that time.
Annemarie, I'd love to turn the Can-Do Girl into a badge but will need some guidance. I've taken a better picture of her. How can I make her look better with the extended wing? I was thinking that cropping the picture then putting it on a plain background would look better than against my wall. Also I could crop to keep the extended wing.... I need Scrapblog!
Love it - need a new can do attitude here.
Wow, that is amazing. Love your message.
I love that you and Hannah enjoy doing art together.
Roban I wanted to put your "Can-Do" Girl button on my blog but unfortunately it does not work.
It comes up with an error message.
