When I saw this car, I thought I was in another country. Monaco maybe.
I thought it had a regal look to it with all that chrome and shiny black.
And the bird on the hood.
The car wasn't the only thing that caught my attention.
There were plenty of bikes around with this being a college town and all.
Before we left, we went by our friend's dad's house.
It's really just a two room cottage he created out of a garage.
You'd never know a car had ever invaded that space though.
Outside, he had created an amazing bed of sunflowers.
It really was a great trip. I tend to be a homebody and a book worm,
but thankfully my husband makes plans like these to get me out into the world.
He's good about things like that.
Tomorrow's the 4th of July!
I think we're ready to celebrate.

My brother is here for the holiday week (staying in mom's apartment, not the hovel.) We went to a movie during the day. I snuck out to a movie at 1030 at night without the kids with a friend. That was fun. Today is a baseball game with my brother and his friends and the kids. Tomorrow - parade, fireworks, BBQ (not in that order.) Thursday, dinner with friends in Austin then back to the same routine except a trip to take James to meet Gary on Saturday. That will be a long drive (5.5 hr each way.) Enjoy your 4th.
Love that picture of that car, but im a guy so I would! Happy July 4 as well. Richard from the Amish settlement of Lebanon,pa
I do love a good road trip. Even more now that I have my camera.
