Mosaic Monday: Running Route

Up until about four years ago, I was much more active... playing tennis and running. After a year of trying to juggle that with my new career as a teacher and as a parent and (well, you get the picture), I stopped doing the things that I should do to stay healthy.

I can't really call this my "running" route. It's more of a walking route. Four miles with a few hills and smaller inclines thrown in. About an hour's worth of exercise on a good day. Seven years ago, it was just part of my running route.... maybe one day I can call it that again. Until then, I'll keep walking. At least at this slower pace I can stop and smell the flowers along the way!

P.S. Mary didn't host Mosaic Monday last week, but I went ahead and created one anyway. If you like air and space, vintage newspapers and the original moonwalk, take a peep here! And for this week's Mosaic Mondays, visit Mary at Little Red House, where her beautiful beach mosaic will have you pining away for windswept clouds and ocean waves.... She also has Mr. Linky directing traffic to other Mosaic Mondays!

Beautiful Mosaic Roban, I would have loved to have been walking along that road with you, chatting and taking pics.

They say walking and swimming are the best forms of exercise as they are less strain on the body.

Wow, that's a route that I would love to walk every day! Four miles an hour is a nice brisk pace, and you're probably saving your knees by walking instead of running.

Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous images at Mosaic Monday. I'm going now to take a peek at last Monday's post. :)

My first thought when I saw your mosaic was "ahh, peaceful". Very nice work!

I smiled when I got here (this is my first visit) because I have a business called "Only Moments in Time". I'm on hiatus with it right now, but the name just seemed right. (if you want to see it, you can go here).

Have a super day!

That is a beautiful walking/running/stop-to-smell route! My walking route is usually on a treadmill - not nearly as pretty :)

I am a walker, too, Roban, I walk in a local park three miles every morning with some friends. My knees might ache and my feet hurt, but I wouldn't miss it for anything!
Your mosaic is lovely and I enjoyed your Man On The Moon mosaic from last week.

I'm a walker as well. Look at it this way - walking is much less stress on the joints and you can take your camera along and get lovely photos like these!! Beautiful mosaic!

Well, your walking route is prettier and longer than mine -- so you are ahead of me! Lovely places to walk, too -- AND to stop and smell whatever is blooming.

Lovely mosaic!
