And Snowflakes Filled the Sky!

Having snow fall in my part of the world is about as common as a northerner drinking sweet tea. But today, it happened! Snowflakes as big as quarters came drifting out of the sky....

Snowballs flew....

Even PopPop got in on some of the action!
Scout and Hannah ran and played ...

and Hannah "sledded" in the snow...

Finally, the call came... "No school tomorrow." Wow! An official snow day... six years since our last one! Yippee!

Sure looks like everyone had fun playing in the snow.
I can't remember the last time I saw snow....maybe it was 1981....yes I think it was. The one and only time I went skiing in Australia.
Cheers

So where do you live that is doesn't snow much? I'm in Virginia on the coast and we finally got a little bit of the white stuff. School only delayed for 2 hours though. :(

I'm glad to see that everyone was having fun. I guess it is one of those lessons that you don't realize how neat something is until you don't have it. Great perspective!

How'd you get your scrapblog to embed and not run out of your margins. I posted one the other day for St. Patrick's day at the top like you did and it was too big and I was too tired to play with code to fix it. Is it a gadget or a blog post.

Just wondering,
Annemarie

Looks like you we are on the same blogging schedule! That second photo is amazing with the color enhanced headband and the snow falling! You are a great photographer. I am remembering that fall photo you took way back when. Looks like a good time was had by all with that snow fall.
Love your idea about posting a picture this month...will be thinking!
