Isn't he a handsome fella'?
When we adopted him several years ago, the worker at the animal shelter referred to Scout as a shepherd-hound mix. The vet's assistant simply referred to him as a 'coonhound. But I think he's way too dignified for that!

Hi there! I was blog surfing after work tonight--just keep pushing next blog til I find something fun to read. Anyway, I came across your blog and I'm intrigued by the word "scrapblog". I assume it is a mixture of blogging and scrapping, instead of a scrapbook, you have a scrapblog. That's a really neat word for it. I blog in hopes my kids can have some memories retained for when they are older. Love your dog too. Really cute!

A beautiful pup he is, indeed! We also got our dog from a shelter @ 7 weeks... she is a Pug/Australian Shepherd mix.
Haven't had a dog in quite a while & forgot how rewarding (and adventurous) it can be.
I hope you get a chance to read Rafe Esquith's books. Puts things into perspective.
